The UK X-Country Championships are to be held at Nottingham on March 7th. Dorset are short of team managers for this event. If volunteers do not come forward the County may not be able to send teams in all age groups. If you can assist please contact the county sec.

2008 complete with the Boscombe 10K. Awards list is on the League Awards link above. Presentation will be at Broadstone on the 1st Jan. If you are on the list and can’t make New Years day please arrange for someone else to pick up your award.

 1st race for 2009 is the Milborne on 11th Jan. We had some problems with the Boscombe running out of entries. We shall try and sort that in future but if you are competing for an award of any sort it’s best to enter in plenty of time. Where we know there is a problem we will make arrangements to accept entries from League clubs up to a final date or reserve entries.

Congratulations to our county RR team at Chippenham on the 9th Nov. Ian White, Ian Habgood, Jon Sharkey and John Broom finished 3rd and Dawn Broom, Sarah Chaloner, Janie Pearce and Nadia Crowe 5th. A few problems with the results which I hope will be sorted in due course. The Results will form the basis of the SW team to take part in the National Inter Area Championships in 2009.

EA have decided to close the regional offices and have one central office. Exeter will close it’s doors at the end of the year. How this effects you has yet to be seen but if you want to have a voice in the future of Road Running follow the link and fill out the survey. The future is in your hands.
